Retox is not a hostel, it's a Party hostel. It's a never-never land with a bar. The outer facade of our building is crumbling and showing the scars of past revolutions. As soon as you walk in, you are overtaken by Graffiti and street art creeping along every inch of wall space. Travelers are strewn all about the bar playing Flip Pong, practicing their strawpedo times for the weekly guest vs. staff challenge or just lounging around in drag waiting for turbulance and retelling the stories from the night before..stories that excite, and drive you into seizures of laughter.

BE Warned! Due to the amount of drinking and partying we do here, do not be surprised to witness vomiting, semi-nudity, sexual acts and very sloppy behavior from staff and guests alike. Ridiculous behavior goes hand in hand with copious amount of alcohol and questionable morals. Both of which we support wholeheartedly here at Retox. Our community accepts anyone willing to get involved.

We have a dedicated staff who clean the hostel throughout the day starting at 8am, again at 3pm and again when you are transitioning between pre-gaming and passing out at night. Our staff are extremely attentive to your every need- Just don't be surprised if they are wearing women's clothes, holding a beer and address you with endearing curse words.

We have our own Retox Bar downstairs booze is never more than a few meters away. The Bar opens at 11am, so if you're a relatively early riser hit the bar for an amazing, cheap breakfast, or even a few Breezers. The bar is our fort, our haven, our favorite common room, so we use it to watch movies or sports during the day on our projector, hold poker tournaments, and most importantly drink and get ready for the night's plan. The bar also has, a free for guest use, interactive social jukebox for you to play with so if you have a problem with the music. it's probably your fault!

When the bar finally shuts late at night, you are welcome to take your own food and alcohol down to our late night room and keep the party going until you pass out. Our bar hosts an amazing All You Can Drink Night each week as well as the world famous Budapest Party Hostels' Jager Train every Sunday. And if you are a bit of an exhibitionist you'll love our Peep Show room, fully decked out with a wrap around couch and floor to ceiling length stripper pole.

Although we love our bar, we also have a great plan set up for each night of the week, so that you can see all this amazing city has to offer. Our nightly events include karaoke bars, dress up nights, pub crawls, booze cruises, and the aforementioned Jager Train and open mic night. Our informative staff can point out all the good parties any night of the week, no matter what type of place you're looking for. We start early and end at sunrise.

Whether you are an artist or a musician, we want to encourage all of your creativity. There are guitars for you to jam on during the day time, and for artists, we offer something unique. We have a lot of free wall space screaming out for your talent, and we have a stencil workshop available each week to teach you the dos and don'ts of street art culture and teach you to make your own. We also have an on site piercer for all of your hole punching needs, and our good friends have a tattoo parlor 1 block away from the hostel in case you want to get some ink.

Let's not forget about the actual city though. Budapest is one of the most interesting and beautiful cities on the planet and upon arrival our staff will give you an in depth map reading, filling you in on all the greatest sights and how best to experience them. Retox tends to build a close community of newly made groups of friends who want to do everything together, baths, sightseeing, tours, and all of course armed with beers and good times. If you have been too hungover to see any of the city, make sure you are here over a party boat, and see the whole city illuminated at night whilst drinking champagne too!
